Chip-level repair under a microscope — cheaper than board replacement
Microsoldering is specialist repair performed under a stereo microscope on the Samsung logic board. Rather than replacing the entire board, a trained technician removes and replaces individual failed chips — Power IC, Touch IC, storage chips — using hot air rework equipment and fine-tip soldering tools. Data is preserved throughout, and cost is a fraction of a full board replacement.
Why It Matters For Your Repair
Most repair shops in Singapore are not equipped for microsoldering and will quote a full board replacement as the only option. A microsoldering technician can often fix the specific failed chip for significantly less. If you’re quoted for a board replacement, always ask if microsoldering is an option first.
