Logic Board
The main circuit board — the brain of your Samsung
The logic board (also called the motherboard) is the main circuit board inside a Samsung Galaxy phone. It houses the Snapdragon or Exynos CPU, RAM, storage chips, and all core ICs including the Power IC, Touch IC, and modem. Damage to the logic board is the most serious and expensive category of phone repair — but chip-level microsoldering can often fix individual components without replacing the entire board.
Why It Matters For Your Repair
If a repair shop tells you that you need a new logic board, always get a chip-level second opinion first. A skilled microsoldering technician can often replace a single failed chip — the Power IC, Touch IC, or a storage chip — at a fraction of the cost of a full board replacement. Data on the board is also preserved throughout a chip-level repair.
