Battery Health
How much charge capacity your Samsung battery retains
Battery health is a measure of how much charge capacity your Samsung battery retains compared to when it was new. A new battery is 100%. As it ages through charge cycles and Singapore’s heat, this falls. Below 80% means significant degradation — your Galaxy will run out of charge noticeably faster. Check via Settings → Battery → Battery usage, or via Samsung’s Member app.
Why It Matters For Your Repair
Singapore’s tropical heat accelerates lithium-ion degradation faster than in cooler climates. A Samsung Galaxy used outdoors, kept in a hot bag, or charged frequently can reach 80% battery health within 18 months. Unlike iPhones, Samsung does not throttle performance at low battery health — but you will notice significantly shorter battery life. Replacement is straightforward and cost-effective.
