Microsoldering
Chip-level repair under a microscope — cheaper than board replacement
Microsoldering is specialist repair performed under a stereo microscope on the iPhone logic board. Rather than replacing the entire board, a trained technician uses hot air rework equipment and precision soldering tools to remove and replace individual failed chips. Data is preserved throughout, and the cost is a fraction of a full logic board replacement.
Why It Matters For Your Repair
Most iPhone repair shops in Singapore are not equipped for microsoldering and default to full board replacement. A microsoldering specialist can often fix a dead iPhone — caused by a Power IC, Touch IC, or storage chip failure — for significantly less, with all your photos, contacts, and data intact. Always ask if microsoldering is an option before agreeing to a board replacement.
