Recovery Mode

iPhone’s restore state — shows the cable icon on screen

Recovery Mode is an iPhone restore state that shows a cable and computer icon on screen. It is used to reinstall iOS when the iPhone won’t boot normally. Connect to a Mac or PC with iTunes or Finder, then choose Update (to reinstall iOS without erasing data) or Restore (to wipe and reinstall). Always try Update first — Restore deletes everything.
